Offered through The Asia Foundation (TAF) in collaboration with the Leadership & Exchange (LeadEx) Programs team in San Francisco, this fellowship supports global leadership development, international exchange, and program operations for impactful fellowship initiatives across Asia and the Pacific.

๐ฏ About the Fellowship
The U.C. Berkeley LeadEx Fellow 2026 will provide programmatic and administrative support to LeadEx initiatives, including flagship fellowship programs and international leadership exchanges.
The fellow will work closely with the LeadEx team in San Francisco to support planning, coordination, communication, and implementation of global programs.
๐งฉ Key Responsibilities
Selected fellows will assist in:
๐ Program Support & Coordination
- Supporting selection, onboarding, visas, and travel for fellows
- Assisting with LeadNext Fellows Program (virtual + in-person sessions)
- Coordinating San Francisco Bay Area summit activities (Sept 2026)
- Supporting Asia Foundation Development Fellows program (Oct 2026)
๐ Administrative & Research Tasks
- Preparing program documents, reports, and evaluations
- Assisting with financial paperwork and agreements
- Updating program descriptions and materials
- Supporting application cycles and review processes
๐ข Communications & Outreach
- Designing promotional and social media content
- Supporting newsletters and impact reports
- Engaging with alumni networks and storytelling initiatives
- Assisting outreach for funding and program visibility
โ๏ธ Additional Tasks
- Occasional travel within the San Francisco Bay Area
- Event and webinar coordination
- Support for international fellowship participants

- ๐ต Up to $40/hour stipend

๐ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- ๐ Be currently enrolled or recent graduates of U.C. Berkeley
- ๐ง Have experience in program support, administration, or event coordination
- ๐ Be comfortable working with diverse international teams
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Have strong communication skills (oral & written)
- ๐งฉ Be able to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
- ๐ก Show initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability
- ๐ Familiarity with digital tools for research and administration is a plus
- ๐ Experience in international development, policy, or nonprofit work is preferred
