The Lee Kong Chian Research Fellowship Programme 2026 is a prestigious six-month residential fellowship designed for researchers, academics, and scholars to explore the rich archival collections of Singapore.
The fellowship is hosted by the National Library Board Singapore, offering access to world-class historical resources and research facilities.

The program provides scholars with the opportunity to conduct in-depth research using:
- Lee Kong Chian Reference Library
- National Archives of Singapore
These institutions house extensive collections, including:
- Historical materials dating back to the 16th century
- Rare manuscripts, maps, and archival records
- Early Southeast Asian publications and documents
Research areas include:
- Social and cultural history
- World War II studies
- Literature and theatre
- Architectural history
- Southeast Asian heritage
Fellows are required to reside in Singapore and engage fully in their research throughout the program duration.
